We anticipate that the need for volunteers will expand in the next few weeks and there will be more opportunities to assist our neighbors once the recovery has been completed. We have determined that working with Hill Country Daily Bread, will make the most sense for us. They are working closely with the counties involved and have job sites to send people to. This situation is very fluid so changes are very likely. Be sure you are physically fit and dressed appropriately for the jobs you sign up. Below are some suggestions on what items will help keep you safe while volunteering. At minimum anyone on a site doing demo or clean-up should have: heavy gloves(there are lots of sharp objects); surgical gloves(wear 2 under the work gloves); safety glasses- wrap around style; close toed shoes or rubber boots; trash bag; ear plugs; face mask: clean shoes/clothes.

Catholic Charities is providing shelter, food, emergency aid and trauma-informed counseling for all affected by the floods.

The equipment and facility were destroyed in the flood. Funds needed to replenish essential equipment and restore the firehouse.

Relief and Rebuilding Support. Grants will support nonprofit organizations, first responders, local governments that are actively involved in response, relief and recovery efforts.
