Register by June 30Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees and colorful creatures. Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, kids plunge into a life-long adventure, discovering the nature of God, and exploring what it means to be rooted in relationship with their creator, a safe place in life’s storms. NEW THIS YEAR! Mixed Age Groups To help create a more family-style environment this year, we will be mixing age groups during our program. Each child will rotate in a small crew of 5–6 children (Kinder through 5th grade) within a larger group setting. This approach encourages friendships across ages and helps build a stronger sense of community. It also creates a wonderful opportunity for leadership and mentorship. Our teen volunteers will guide and support our incoming middle schoolers, helping them learn how to grow as leaders within the Church while serving and caring for the younger children. Middle School Teen Crew Leaders in Training This is an opportunity for our incoming sixth graders through eighth graders who are under the age of 14. Our Middle School Teen Crew Leaders will be participating in VBS in a shepherding role. They will assist and guide the younger participants of VBS while learning the faith under the leadership of our experienced High School Crew Leaders. Pre-K 4 Children ages 4 are invited to participate in a self-contained, age appropriate VBS program. They will enjoy all the same stations. VOLUNTEER AT VBS! St. Peter's Family Life Center 151/153T-Shirts This year, to help offset costs, we are asking for donations for the t-shirts for volunteers and their children who will be participating in VBS. The recommended donation is $10 for each shirt. We appreciate donations in any amount! If you are in need of updating any trainings/background check, you will receive a prompt letting you know what is due as soon as you log into your account. You can also click on assigned trainings, and if you are due for a training, it should show on this screen. For those who have never completed these trainings or submitted a background check, follow these steps to set up an account: Go to virtusonline.org Select 'first time registrant' Click on 'begin the registration process' Select Organization—scroll down and select 'San Antonio, TX (Archdiocese)' Have you previously registered with Virtus online—select NO Create a username and password Be sure to choose 'St. Peter the Apostle Boerne' for your parish Follow the rest of the prompts to complete the trainings
